\n\tKid Harpoon<\/a> has been named Abbey Road Studios<\/a>\u2019 first-ever Producer in Residence, with the Grammy winner tasked with both guiding the legendary studio\u2019s vision as well as mentoring future musical talent.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the studio, Kid Harpoon \u201cwill have complete access to Abbey Road as his creative playground and studio home in the UK, as well as its collection of vintage gear, microphones and instruments\u201d and \u201cwill also consult on the studios\u2019 music tech and innovation work.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m beyond excited to become Producer in Residence at Abbey Road,\u201d Kid Harpoon said in a statement. \u201cIn this position, I\u2019m hoping to use my experience to help guide some of the incredible up-and-coming talent we have in the UK while they navigate their way through what can be a difficult industry. Mark and the team have a real desire to give back and develop new talent, which is something I\u2019m really passionate about. To be able to contribute to the Abbey Road legacy in any way is an honor, and I can\u2019t wait to get stuck in!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe British-born Thomas \u201cKid Harpoon\u201d Hull has won Grammys for both Record of the Year (for Miley Cyrus\u2019 \u201cFlowers\u201d<\/a>) and Album of the Year (for Harry Styles\u2019 Harry\u2019s House<\/em><\/a>) in recent years. His production and songwriting work also includes Shawn Mendes\u2019 Wonder<\/em>, Maggie Rogers\u2019 Surrender<\/em>, as well as songs by Florence + the Machine, Lizzo, King Princess, Noah Cyrus, and Jessie Ware. Most recently, Kid Harpoon produced David Byrne\u2019s new album Who Is the Sky?<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n
