Diddy<\/a>\u2018s hopes of serving his 50-month prison sentence<\/a> at a low-security facility have suffered a setback.<\/p>\n The Bad Boy Records founder, who was convicted earlier this year of prostitution-related charges, had filed a request to be sent to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, claiming it\u2019s the best place for him to \u201caddress [his] drug abuse issues\u201d and \u201cmaximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Judge Arun Subramanian \u2014 who oversaw Puffy\u2019s high-profile trial and handed down his four-year sentence \u2014 strongly disagrees and is adamant that the disgraced mogul should do his hard time as close to the New York metropolitan area as possible.<\/p>\n According to TMZ<\/em><\/a>, the judge argued in a legal filing that Diddy should be shipped off to a detention center with \u201cany available substance abuse program, including the Bureau of Prisons\u2019 Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), for which he qualifies.\u201d<\/p>\n Federal prosecutors, meanwhile, have taken \u201cno position\u201d on where the 55-year-old should be shipped off to. Ultimately, the decision belongs to the Bureau of Prisons \u2014 it\u2019s unclear when this will be exactly.<\/p>\n Diddy was found guilty this past summer of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution<\/a>, although he was acquitted on the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.<\/p>\n Prosecutors had accused the No Way Out<\/em> hitmaker of abusing, threatening and coercing women to \u201cfulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n He \u201crelied on the employees, resources, and influence of the multi-faceted business empire that he led and controlled \u2014 creating a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice,\u201d the indictment read.<\/p>\n Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges and has frequently denied the allegations, although his lawyers admitted during the trial that he was physically abusive towards his ex-girlfriend (and state witness) Cassie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
