And as she closed out the run, the pop queen paused to deliver a sweet speech about how performing \u2014 and bringing joy to queer people \u2014 reminded her why she loves doing this job.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI wasn\u2019t gonna do a U.S. tour until the very last minute, I decided to do one, and I\u2019m so glad I did. It\u2019s so fun. This job is so awesome. Thank you for making it awesome,\u201d Roan told the sold-out crowd at the Brookside at the Rose Bowl. \u201cEverything made sense this year: Why I do this. Last year, I was really questioning, \u2018Why am I doing this to myself? I\u2019m so sad. I feel so left out in public. I feel so awkward all the time.\u2019 And I always felt like, \u2018Why am I putting myself through this? If this feels so, if this is taking so much away from me, what is this for?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tShe continued: \u201cAnd then I started doing shows again, and it all made sense that it was to literally bring queer people joy and tell them that it\u2019s OK.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tRoan reminisced on the importance of Los Angeles in her journey finding herself, and why it\u2019s important to protect peace and happiness, given the trying times in the country and in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s so many things in the world that are so \u2018fuck you\u2019 and like, then there is this. The only thing that matters anymore is joy to me. And protecting that, and peace and safety,\u201d Roan said. \u201cSo I hope you know that when you are here, you are safe, and I want you here, you can be whoever you are tonight.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cYou\u2019re cherished for everything that you are. Even if you\u2019re not queer, I hope you know that I include you. This isn\u2019t just for the gays,\u201d she added. \u201cThank you for being here and supporting me and supporting each other. This is the biggest headline show I\u2019ve ever had.
