The Grammy Award is one of the highest honors an artist can receive in music \u2014 but apparently, it also makes a pretty great doorstop.<\/p>\n
Taste of Country Nights<\/em> <\/a>recently welcomed for King + Country<\/a> into the Nashville studio, where host Evan Paul learned some pretty funny news while chatting with the duo.<\/p>\n Band members Joel and Luke Smallbone were asked where they keep their Grammy Awards. Joel had a surprising answer.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know what\u2019s fascinating is \u2014 and I\u2019m embarrassed to say \u2014 Luke put some in his kids\u2019 rooms, and they were used for various\u2026 they were a doorstopper at one point,\u201d he admitted with a laugh.<\/p>\n Luke jumped in to take over the storytelling from his brother. \u201cListen, I am part of the Nashville Grammy Board, and I don\u2019t condone or respect his [my son\u2019s] decisions,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I got them, they came in these beautiful foam cases and you pull out the Grammy,\u201d Luke explained. \u201cI was like, without my wife and the children, I don\u2019t have the perspective to do this well.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cSo part of the reason I wanted to put them in their room was just like, \u2018Hey, you guys are the reason.
