\n\tSombr<\/a> has responded to criticism he received from a person who attended his show at Anthem in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 13 and said she \u201chated it.\u201d She went on to give her reasons in a video that runs nearly nine minutes. The video critique went viral and expanded onto other platforms, including X<\/a>, over the last few days.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI thought I was chronically online, but it\u2019s just come to my attention that there\u2019s a TikTok<\/a> drama going around because a 25-year-old attended my concert and was basically complaining that there were too many tweens there, I was making too many brain rot jokes, and she just thought it was a cringe concert,\u201d Sombr began in his response.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt appears he was referring to Megan Tomasic\u2019s post on TikTok from about four days ago, which criticized his show that she said she attended. She began by saying she likes his music and was excited for the show, but then said, \u201cI\u2019m going to explain to you why, if you\u2019re over the age of 16, you should not spend your money on a Sombr concert.\u201d The 25-year-old, who appeared to not expect the 20-year-old artist\u2019s fanbase to be mainly tweens, cited not liking his jokes nor a section of the show called the \u201cSombr Dating Show,\u201d where he brought audience members onstage to call their exes. She also criticized him saying \u201csuper vulgar stuff about getting his dick sucked\u201d and asking his fans to \u201cbark for me,\u201d alluding that it seemed problematic in that his audience is young.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added: \u201cIt just doesn\u2019t seem like he knows how to entertain. He\u2019s maybe too young. Maybe he has to grow into it. I don\u2019t know. Dancing was terrible, singing was terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile she referred to the experience as \u201ca nightmare,\u201d she admitted that his fans loved it, with fans sharing clips of the performance and she referenced one saying, \u201cThis is my generation\u2019s David Bowie.\u201d She then said, \u201cI\u2019m so sorry, slender man? We\u2019re picking him, we\u2019re picking the weird dancing dude?\u201d whom she likened to Napoleon Dynamite and added that the show was \u201ccringe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSombr accused her of \u201cbody shaming\u201d him, saying that \u201cit\u2019s kind of started a massive body shaming hate train directed towards me on a lot of videos of me on the internet right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe went on to say, \u201cI totally respect people having opinions, but I am a 20-year-old artist, freshly 20. And if you\u2019re 25 years old and you\u2019re going to come to my concert and not expect people younger than you to be there, when I the artist am five years younger than you, it\u2019s just a skill issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs far as his jokes, Sombr said that people who go to his concerts would be familiar with his online presence, adding, \u201cI\u2019ve never uttered a serious word in my life.\u201d Plus, he said he spends \u201cfive minutes\u201d making jokes at his shows, while the rest is music.<\/p>\n

Since his album dropped, his tour that runs through November has sold out<\/a> and he\u2019s slated as the Saturday Night Live musical guest<\/a><\/em> with host Nikki Glaser on Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
