\n\tFor anyone eagerly awaiting an \u201calternative\u201d to the Super Bowl<\/a> halftime show featuring Bad Bunny<\/a>, the \u201cAll-American Halftime Show\u201d appears to be on, and for the same day, Feb. 8.<\/p>\n \n\tBut contrary to what you may have seen on social media, Joan Baez<\/a> and Neil Young<\/a>, at the very least, will not be part of it.<\/p>\n \n\tAI slop continues to seep into social media, with Boomer-era musicians continually depicted in false photos. As Rolling Stone<\/em> has previously reported<\/a>, bogus images of classic rockers in hospitals or singing at the graves of other rockers have flooded the internet \u2014 fooling some fans in the process and provoking laughs in just as many. (No, Steven Tyler did not visit Robert Plant in a hospital after he \u201ccollapses on stage.\u201d)<\/p>\n \n\tThe lineup for Turning Point USA<\/a>\u2018s \u201cAll-American Half-Time Show\u201d \u2014 \u201ccelebrating faith, family and freedom\u201d \u2014 hasn\u2019t yet been announced. (One can, however, go to TPUSA\u2019s website to vote for which category of music you\u2019d like to see and hear, which includes, tellingly, \u201cAnything in English.\u201d) But that hasn\u2019t stopped the AI machine from churning out at least one fake TPUSA half-time ad announcing that Baez and Young will be co-headlining \u201ca heartfelt and patriotic alternative to the Super Bowl 60 halftime event\u201d that will \u201chonor the enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk.\u201d To ram home the point, a football field and large American flag are shown in the background. In overblown language familiar to anyone who tracks such things, the post adds, \u201cWith Joan\u2019s golden voice and Neil\u2019s grace-filled harmony, the All-American Halftime Show will turn the world\u2019s biggest stage into a moment of hope and homecoming.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tReps for Young and Baez declined to comment, much like reps for Bob Dylan, Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, and others who have passed on making statements about AI imagery that\u2019s hoodwinked whatever percentage of their fan bases.<\/p>\n \n\tThe inclusion of Baez and Young, two particularly devoted Trump bashers, is especially amusing in light of Young\u2019s new anti-Trump protest song \u201cBig Crime\u201d<\/a> and Baez\u2019s criticisms of the president<\/a>. And let\u2019s not forget their participation in the L.A. stop of this year\u2019s Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez \u201cFighting Oligarchy\u201d tour, where they were also joined by Maggie Rogers. There, Baez sang the folk song \u201cAin\u2019t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around\u201d with updated Trump-era lyrics ( \u201cAin\u2019t gonna let no white supremacists turn me around\u201d) and Young led the crowd in a sing-along of \u201cRockin\u2019 in the Free World.\u201d <\/p>\n
