\n\tIron Maiden<\/a> will continue to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026 with a North American leg of their Run for Your Lives tour.<\/p>\n \n\tThe heavy metal legends spent this past summer on the European run of their half-century trek, which features an all-favorites setlist culled from Iron Maiden\u2019s first nine studio albums. A second European leg will run from May 2026 through July, after which the group will hop across the Atlantic for a 12-gig tour of North American stadiums and arenas.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis whole tour has been such great fun. I really enjoy belting out all these great old songs, and the whole band are loving playing them too!\u201d Bruce Dickinson said in a statement. \u201cWe\u2019ve got all the big ones from that early period including \u2018Hallowed,\u2019 \u2018Run to the Hills,\u2019 \u2018Trooper,\u2019 \u2018Number of the Beast,\u2019 \u2018Killers,\u2019 \u2018Powerslave,\u2019 \u20182 Minutes\u2026\u2019 and some of them we haven\u2019t played in the US for over 20 years!! Plus there\u2019s some real epics including my particular favorite \u2018Rime of the Ancient Mariner\u2019 and Seventh Son\u2026 We are doing them all and more. I mean, who wouldn\u2019t for a 50th birthday party!\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBassist Steve Harris added, \u201cWe are greatly looking forward to bringing this Run for Your Lives to North America and hope the fans enjoy seeing the show and hearing the set list as much as we do playing it. It\u2019s an added bonus to have a few of our good friends on the tour with us.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThose \u201cgood friends\u201d include Megadeth, who will spend the entirety of what\u2019s been billed as their farewell tour<\/a> serving as Iron Maiden\u2019s special guest, as well as Anthrax, \u201con the bigger shows,\u201d Harris said. \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to have both bands with us for this tour and know our fans will enjoy seeing them.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe North American leg begins August 29 in Toronto and currently runs until September 29 at San Antonio\u2019s Alamodome.
