{"id":49905,"date":"2025-10-23T19:19:41","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T19:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/23\/chappell-roan-unveils-midwest-princess-project-non-profit-organization\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T19:19:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T19:19:41","slug":"chappell-roan-unveils-midwest-princess-project-non-profit-organization","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/23\/chappell-roan-unveils-midwest-princess-project-non-profit-organization\/","title":{"rendered":"Chappell Roan Unveils Midwest Princess Project Non-Profit Organization"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/chappell-roan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_chappell-roan\" data-tag=\"chappell-roan\">Chappell Roan<\/a> will provide support to trans youth and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/lgbtq-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_lgbtq-2\" data-tag=\"lgbtq-2\">LGBTQ+<\/a> communities through her newly launched nonprofit, <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.midwestprincessproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Midwest Princess Project.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI am so excited to announce The Midwest Princess Project,\u201d Roan shared in a statement. \u201cThese funds will be donated to incredible organizations making a positive impact for trans youth in their communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe Midwest Princess Project launches with more than $400,000 in donations raised through ticket sales from Roan\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-live-reviews\/chappell-roan-live-new-york-forest-hills-review-set-list-1235431918\/\">Visions of Damsels &amp; Other Dangerous Things <\/a>pop-up concerts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe tour hosted representatives from multiple organizations that will work with the non-profit, including Ali Forney Center and The LGBT Center in New York, Trans Wellness Center and TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles, and The GLO Center and The Center Project in Missouri. \u201cThese local organizations support the LGBTQ+ community and provide specific programming and resources for trans youth,\u201d a statement on the official website for the organization reads. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tOn Instagram, Roan elaborated on the donation process as it pertains to proceeds from her life shows. \u201cOutside of transaction fees to host the donation page and limited costs for my team to effectively manage the project, we have committed to donating every dollar possible to the organizations that need it most,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cWe are so honored to receive this wonderful gift from such an incredible member of our community,\u201d the LGBT Center in New York shared on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tEarlier this year, Roan inspired multiple artists to make donations to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/backline.care\/\">Backline<\/a>, a non-profit organization providing music industry professionals with access to mental health and wellness resources, after she used her<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/chappell-roan-best-new-artist-grammys-speech-1235245283\/\">\u00a0Grammy Awards acceptance speech<\/a>\u00a0to urge labels to provide artists with livable wages and healthcare. I\u2019m so sad. I feel so left out in public. I feel so awkward all the time.\u2019 And I always felt like, \u2018Why am I putting myself through this?
