Shane Profitt<\/a> isn’t asking Luke Bryan<\/a> to slot him in on his next tour, and he’s not hoping the hitmaker will cut one of his songs one day.<\/p>\n Instead, the “Long Live Country”<\/a> singer is hoping for something a bit simpler.<\/p>\n “Luke, if you\u2019re watching this, let your boy hunt a couple acres somewhere,” he says during a recent Taste of Country Nights<\/em><\/a> interview.<\/p>\n There are a few things to know for this all to make sense.<\/p>\n Profitt \u2014 whose Population Me<\/em> EP dropped on Oct. 10 \u2014 is from Columbia, Tenn. That’s Luke Bryan country, so the first time he met him he was on his best behavior.<\/p>\n “I mean, that sounds so redneck but I\u2019m like, \u2018Maybe he might let me hunt 50 acres somewhere,'” Profitt jokes.<\/p>\n It doesn’t stop there.<\/p>\n “Where I duck hunt in West Tennessee too, it\u2019s like no matter where I go \u2014 oop, that\u2019s Luke Bryan\u2019s place. That\u2019s Luke Bryan\u2019s place,” Profitt says. “I mean you can\u2019t win for losing. It\u2019s like, \u2018We can\u2019t hunt that no more. Luke Bryan bought it.'”<\/p>\n \u201cHe owns half of Tennessee at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n That’s probably not totally accurate, but we’ve no doubt that Profitt \u2014 an avid hunter until his music career started to keep him so busy \u2014 is speaking his truth.<\/p>\n The recently engaged singer has a few tour dates remaining in 2025<\/a>, with more to be announced for next year.<\/p>\n “Long Live Country” is his first single on Triple Tigers Records.<\/p>\n\n
