The record was still a Top 40 hit \u2014 landing at No. 38 in its final week \u2014 but didn\u2019t maintain a placement at Number 25 or above after its 26th week on the chart, which per the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/taylor-swift-hot-100-fate-of-ophelia-number-one-second-week\/recurrent-rule-change\/\">recurrent rule change<\/a> led to it being nixed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tFor the first time since 1990, the Top 40 on the Hot 100 doesn\u2019t contain a single rap song. The space is occupied, instead, by the entirety of Taylor Swift\u2019s <em>The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> \u2014 now in its third week \u2014 as well as hits from Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Kehlani, and Alex Warren, whose single \u201cOrdinary\u201d has spent 37 weeks on the chart. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tA significant portion of the records in the Top 40 have been slow-burn hits, like Ravyn Lenae\u2019s \u201cLove Me Not\u201d or Leon Thomas\u2019 \u201cMutt.\u201d Others, like Justin Bieber\u2019s \u201cDaises\u201d and Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u201cManchild,\u201d made high debuts and stuck around. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tStill, there are a few rap records lingering just outside of the Top 40 that could break through. YoungBoy Never Broke Again\u2019s \u201cShot Callin,\u201d which debuted on the Hot 100 in late September, has inched its way up to No. 43. It doesn\u2019t have much competition in the genre. Tyler, the Creator\u2019s \u201cSugar on the Tongue,\u201d which appears on the Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs chart, has spent 14 weeks on the chart with a peak position of Number 41 and a current position of 51.
