\n\tDemi Lovato<\/a>\u2019s meme twin, Poot Lovato, has finally seen the light of day. On Thursday, to celebrate Halloween<\/a> \u2014 and one week of her new album <\/em>It\u2019s Not That Deep<\/em> <\/a>\u2014 Lovato shared a series of silly photos and videos dressed as the infamous photoshopped \u201ctwin\u201d she once joked would be hidden from the public forever.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cHappy Halloween and happy one week of intd<\/em>!!!\u201d she wrote on Instagram, referring to her new album\u2019s acronym, before adding: \u201c[I\u2019ve] been so locked in this era thought I\u2019d let pootvato out.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn the photos, Lovato poses like the overexposed viral character that emerged from a photoshopped, unflattering picture of Demi Lovato during a 2014 event. The original meme shows an altered version of Lovato\u2019s face with what appears to be a strange buzzcut-combover hairdo. Fans joked at the time that it was Lovato\u2019s twin sister, and Lovato clarified: \u201cShe was locked in a basement her whole life\u2026 This picture was taken the first time she went outside. Her name is Poot.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn her Halloween posts as Poot on Thursday, Lovato\u2019s meme twin tries to escape from a garage and gives a \u201chouse tour\u201d of the basement where she supposedly lives \u2014 all soundtracked by Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u201cHouse Tour.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhen Poot Lovato first popped up, Lovato wasn\u2019t as in on the joke, writing on Twitter<\/a> at the time, \u201ccool to see a shitty angle turn into a meme that circulates the internet to people\u2019s amusement.\u201d But in the process of rolling out her newest album<\/a>, the singer has embraced the memes of her past with a smile. Earlier this year, she\u00a0joked about never allowing Poot<\/a> out of her basement.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWhen someone asks me to let Poot out of the basement\u2026\u201d Lovato wrote over a post of a lip-sync of her saying the words in a monotone voice, \u201cWhat an offer, let me sleep on it though.\u201d In the caption, she joked: \u201cAnd I\u2019m never letting her out.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAfter sharing her Halloween post, Lovato also posted a carousel of images from her INTD<\/em> release week, including photos and videos of her rehearsing and preparing for her One Night Only show in Hollywood last Saturday.<\/p>\n
