The singer\u2019s 12-year-old account, published under the handle @britneyspears, now directs visitors to an error page, noting, \u201cThe link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.\u201d Her <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/britneyspears\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/britneyspears\" target=\"_blank\"> account<\/a> remains active. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe Instagram deactivation comes after the pop singer posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/britney-spears-kevin-federline-memoir-response-1235448283\/\">series of responses<\/a> to her ex-husband <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/kevin-federline\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kevin-federline\" data-tag=\"kevin-federline\">Kevin Federline<\/a>\u2018s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kevin-federline-britney-spears-concern-memoir-1235447334\/\">recent memoir<\/a>, <em>You Thought You Knew<\/em>. The tell-all book, released in October, recounts the couple\u2019s tumultuous relationship, including their marriage in 2004 and their divorce in 2007. Along with an alarming claim that Spears would watch their children sleep with a knife in her hand , Federline wrote: \u201cSomething bad is going to happen if things don\u2019t change.\u201d He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/britney-spears-cocaine-breastfeeding-kevin-federline-says-1235448805\/\">also claimed<\/a> she drank while pregnant and did cocaine while breastfeeding. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSpears spoke out against his allegations on X, accusing Federline of \u201cconstant gaslighting\u201d that has become \u201cextremely hurtful and exhausting.\u201d She wrote of Federline\u2019s allegations in his memoir, writing, \u201cTrust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tShe later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/britney-spears-statement-kevin-federline-memoir-allegations-1235449340\/\">shared a second post<\/a>, writing, \u201cTo be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I\u2019m the bad one as they profit off my pain. The singer said the injuries were from a fall \u201cdown the stairs at my friend\u2019s house.\u201d A few weeks later, she said she believes she had \u201cbrain damage happened to me\u201d while under a 13-year conservatorship.
