Daniel Lopatin<\/a> will release his upcoming Oneohtrix Point Never<\/a> album, Tranquilizer<\/a>,<\/em> later this month, and, today, he\u2019s previewing the LP with a new song. \u201cCherry Blue\u201d comes with a music video by Pol Taburet<\/a>, marking the French artist\u2019s first-ever foray into the medium. The painter incorporates surreal imagery in the short film to signify the gaps between life and death, body and spirit, and decay and renewal. Check it out below.<\/p>\n Tranquilizer<\/em> is out digitally on November 17 and physically on November 21 via Warp<\/a>. \u201cCherry Blue\u201d is the fifth preview of the album, following \u201cFor Residue<\/a>,\u201d \u201cBumpy<\/a>,\u201d \u201cLifeworld<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cMeasuring Ruins<\/a>.\u201d The follow-up to 2023\u2019s Oneohtrix Point Never album Again<\/em><\/a> was \u201cshaped by commercial audio construction kits from a bygone era\u2014an index of cliches turned inside out,\u201d according to Lopatin.<\/p>\n Beyond his Oneohtrix Point Never moniker, Lopatin also scored the new Josh Safdie film Marty Supreme<\/em><\/a>, starring Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, the Creator, and Abel Ferrara. That movie screens in U.S. theaters starting on December 25.
