\n\tThough Bad Company<\/a> singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke have previously expressed excitement about reuniting for a performance<\/a> at the band\u2019s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/a> induction on Nov. 8, Rodgers has since revealed that he will not be able to partake in the show as planned. <\/p>\n \n\tOn Nov. 3, via the band\u2019s official Instagram, Rodgers wrote, \u201cMy hope was to be at the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame<\/a> Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it\u2019s the stress of everything else. Thanks for understanding. Simon along with some outstanding musicians will be stepping in for me \u2013 guaranteed to rock.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tOver the past decade, Rodgers has suffered 11 minor strokes and two major strokes. His reunion with Kirke would have marked the pair\u2019s first performance since 2019. As recently as Oct. 28, Kirke shared plans to perform with Gold Derby<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>telling the publication, \u201cI think the secret is out that we will perform,\u201d before \u201ccautiously\u201d confirming. \u201cI\u2019m not at liberty to say which songs,\u201d he added. \u201cI mean, quite honestly, I don\u2019t give a s\u2013t. We\u2019re going to play, and whatever Paul chooses is fine by me! Just to play with him again is going to be a real thrill for me. I missed him.\u201d<\/p>\n
