New York-based hyperpop artist Underscores<\/a> has shared a new song called \u201cDo It\u201d along with an accompanying music video. In the self-directed clip, Underscores sings along to the electropop track while working through choreography with two dancers, lights flash onscreen, and various people are blown out of their chairs by the sheer force of the music coming from a laptop. Check out the song below.<\/p>\n The 25-year-old April Harper Grey started releasing music as Underscores over a decade ago as a preteen. After self-releasing three EPs and her debut full-length album, 2021\u2019s Fishmonger<\/em>, she put out her sophomore LP, 2023\u2019s Wallsocket<\/em>, on Mom + Pop. Now, Underscores is gearing up to release her as-yet-untitled third album, on which \u201cDo It\u201d will be featured alongside the lead single \u201cMusic<\/a>\u201d from this past July.<\/p>\n In the meantime, Underscores has hopped on a handful of collaborations with other artists so far this year, including the Umru track \u201cPoplife,\u201d a remix of Yaeji\u2019s single \u201cBooboo<\/a>\u201d with Aliyah\u2019s Interlude dubbed \u201cBooboo2,\u201d and the Oklou song \u201cHarvest Sky\u201d from Choke Enough<\/a><\/em>, which recently got a deluxe edition<\/a>.<\/p>\n Read about Underscores in the live review \u201cNight Out 2025: Pitchfork and Them\u2019s Showcase for the Future of Queer Music<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
