While she hasn\u2019t been back to Broadway since, she did star in NBC\u2019s live adaptation of <em>Hairspray<\/em> in the role of Penny back in 2016. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe mystery project joins the musician and actress\u2019 growing list of plans. In addition to the tour and <em>Wicked: For Good<\/em>, the sequel to last year\u2019s <em>Wicked,<\/em> which stars Grande in her dream role of Glinda, she will also appear in the <em>Meet the Parents <\/em>sequel <a data-id=\"1235457584\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv-movies\/tv-movie-news\/ariana-grande-finished-filming-meet-the-parents-sequel-1235457584\/\"><em>Focker In-Law<\/em> <\/a>and Season 13 of Ryan Murphy\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv-movies\/tv-movie-news\/ariana-grande-joins-american-horror-story-season-13-1235457861\/\">American Horror Story. <\/a><\/em>This week, Grande will star in the two-hour NBC special <em>Wicked: One Wonderful Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThen there\u2019s the matter of the music. \u201cOf course, music will be in my life forever,\u201d Grande said. \u201cI have to say that for my fans who are reading this who are going to have a heart attack.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe singer sparred with fans this week after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ariana-grande-misses-wicked-for-good-brazil-premiere-1235459142\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1235459142\">breaking the news<\/a> that she would miss the Brazil premiere of <em>Wicked: For Good <\/em>due to flight delays. While some were understandably disappointed, others escalated their response to a concerning extent. \u201cPlease don\u2019t wish danger on us,\u201d Grande wrote to them on Instagram.
