Fans of the 1975<\/a> were left puzzled this week by the disappearance from streaming services of \u201cHuman Too,\u201d an album track from 2022\u2019s Being Funny in a Foreign Language<\/em><\/a>. Now, Matthew Healy has taken to Reddit<\/a> to explain its absence: \u201c\u2018Human Too\u2019 was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be,\u201d he wrote. That clears that up, then. The remaining records are safe, Healy added, because he is \u201cpretty happy with them\u201d\u2014with one exception: \u201cWhat Should I Say\u201d from Notes on a Conditional Form<\/em><\/a>. \u201cSo that may also be removed who knows,\u201d he concluded. Catch the latter while you can below.<\/p>\n While it is now commonplace for artists to tweak albums post-release\u2014typically for reasons to do with sample clearance<\/a> or perfectionism<\/a>\u2014retroactively wiping a song, three years after the fact, is more of a novelty. Healy notes in his comment, presumably for those unfamiliar with the mechanics of physical media, that \u201cHuman Too\u201d still appears on prior physical releases of the album.<\/p>\n
