He was 31 years old and left behind Erika and their two young children.<\/p>\n Since his death, Erika has stepped in as CEO and Chair of the Board of Turning Point USA<\/a> \u2014 the conservative student movement Charlie founded at just 18.<\/p>\n Flanked by Jason, Brittany, and Fox News host Jesse Watters, Erika turned her focus to the crowd with a challenge.<\/p>\n \u201cThis award is about legacy\u2026 my legacy, our children\u2019s legacy, my husband\u2019s legacy<\/a> \u2014 but it\u2019s also about your legacy,\u201d she said. \u201cWill you be proud of that when you get to heaven and stand before the Lord? Just think on that and pray on that.\u201d<\/p>\n Erika continued: \u201cCharlie understood something so deeply: Evil wins when good people stay silent. So for the rest of my life, I will make sure I don\u2019t stay silent.
