\n\tRosal\u00eda has already made Spotify<\/a> history with Lux<\/em>, her newest album. Rolling Stone<\/em> can confirm that the \u201cBerghain\u201d musician broke the record for the most streams in the first 24 hours by a female Spanish-language artist on Spotify. <\/p>\n \n\tWith more than 42.1 million streams on the platform on the first day, the singer broke the record previously held by Karol G\u2019s Ma\u00f1ana Ser\u00e1 Bonito (Bichota Season)<\/em> <\/a>in 2023.<\/p>\n \n\tLux<\/em> marks Rosal\u00eda\u2019s first LP since 2022\u2019s Motomami<\/a><\/em>. The singer taps into opera and classical music and sings in 14 different languages<\/a> on the record. Lux<\/em> also became the first LP on Spotify to feature live translations with MusixMatch, so listeners could understand the multilingual lyrics as they listened to the album on the platform.<\/p>\n \n\tIn an interview for\u00a0The New York Times<\/em>\u2019\u00a0Popcast,<\/a>\u00a0Rosal\u00eda revealed that she turned to both Google Translate and a professional translator to help with phonetics and overall pronunciation, but even so, songs took several takes to get right. \u201cIt\u2019s a lot of trying to understand how other languages work,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
