Jack White<\/a>\u00a0accepted the\u00a0White Stripes<\/a>‘\u00a0induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/a>\u00a0with a heartfelt speech that expressed appreciation for his erstwhile bandmate, Meg White.<\/p>\n Dressed in a red suit, black shirt and white tie — the color scheme his duo made famous —\u00a0Jack\u00a0took the stage\u00a0following a touching introduction from Iggy Pop<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Today the White Stripes are proud to represent the sound of Detroit punk and garage rock, and all of those bands and artists,”\u00a0the singer began. Though Meg did not attend the ceremony, Jack noted “she\u2019s very sorry she couldn’t make it here tonight.”<\/p>\n \u201cShe’s very grateful to all of the folks who supported her through all the years.
