Newly released police body cam footage sheds light on what happened during Todd Snider\u2019s arrest earlier this month in Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n
According to a video obtained by Fox 13<\/a>, the singer-songwriter repeatedly told officers he was \u201cnot homeless,\u201d that he lives in Nashville, and that he\u2019s \u201cfamous.\u201d<\/p>\n The incident occurred on Sunday, (Nov. 3), outside Holy Cross Hospital, where Snider had reportedly returned after being discharged earlier in the day.<\/p>\n Police were called to respond to a disturbance involving a man hospital staff described as \u201cloud,\u201d \u201cobnoxious\u201d and allegedly threatening to \u201ckick\u201d a staffer\u2019s (expletive).<\/p>\n In the footage, the 59-year-old musician appears disoriented and slow to speak. As officers begin to handcuff him, Snider calls them \u201csweet\u201d and says, \u201cI can\u2019t wait to tell you my story.\u201d<\/p>\n He goes on to claim he had recently been mugged and was just looking for a place to rest<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m not homeless. I live in Nashville. I have a band. I\u2019m famous,\u201d Snider told the officers.<\/p>\n Snider also claimed his band had \u201cditched\u201d him, and pleaded with police to let him return to the hospital, insisting he was \u201csick\u201d and without medication: \u201cPlease, let me go to the hospital,\u201d he says. \u201cI am sick!\u201d<\/p>\n Snider \u2014 who has since canceled all remaining 2024 tour dates and multiple 2025 shows \u2014 also told officers he had staples in his head from a recent assault.<\/p>\n However, no official report of an assault has been verified, and hospital staff told police that Snider had already been seen by two hospitals before returning to Holy Cross<\/a>.<\/p>\n‘I\u2019m Not Homeless, I\u2019m in a Band’<\/h3>\n
