At Thursday\u2019s Latin Grammys, the <em>Tropicoqueta<\/em> star was joined by El Buki for a duet of their collaboration, \u201cColeccionando Heridas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe performance opened with soft guitar as the camera followed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/karol-g\/\" id=\"auto-tag_karol-g\" data-tag=\"karol-g\">Karol G<\/a> \u2014 wearing an orange halter top \u2014 from behind. \u201cWhat if we sing this one together for the first time ever at the Grammys?\u201d she teased before starting the song.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSol\u00eds, dressed in a beige, patterned jacket, soon joined the Colombian queen, stepping into the light for his verse. The camera closed in on their faces as they sang the tender ballad, gazing into each other\u2019s eyes. For the outro, Sol\u00eds and Karol grasped hands and did a sweet dance.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cTell them again, please!\u201d Sol\u00eds asked Karol before closing the ballad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIt\u2019s been a big year for Karol G, who was announced as the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/karol-g-first-latina-artist-coachella-headliner-1235428277\/\">Latina star<\/a> to headline Coachella next year. She also released her album <em>Tropicoqueta<\/em>, which featured Marco Antonio Sol\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cWhen we made \u2018Coleccionado Heridas,\u2019 I felt like it needed a classic male voice that would take me back to a specific moment from a long time ago,\u201d she told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> about working with El Buki earlier this year. \u201cHe was everything you\u2019d expect from an artist you\u2019ve admired your whole life. Being able to meet him was so special\u2026 He sounds like classic Marco Antonio Solis on it. This song sounds like we went back in time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThis year, Karol G\u2019s song \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/karol-g-si-antes-te-hubiera-conocido-vma-awards-performance-1235096359\/\">Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido<\/a>\u201d is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Tropical Song as well. Karol has six Latin Grammy wins to her name, including Best New Artist in 2017 and Album of the Year for <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/karol-g-manana-sera-bonito-album-details-1234668128\/\">Ma\u00f1ana Ser\u00e1 Bonito<\/a> <\/em>in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWhile Sol\u00eds isn\u2019t up for any awards this year, he\u2019s a five-time winner with four of his awards coming in the Best Regional Mexican Song category, including for Tu Amor o Tu Desprecio\u201d in 2004 and \u201cDe Mil Amores\u201d in 2014.
