In country music, it\u2019s usually the headliner who surprises their opener with an end-of-tour gift \u2014 but Chase Matthew<\/a> decided to flip the script. Instead of waiting to receive something from Luke Bryan<\/a>, he went out and bought him<\/em> a present.<\/p>\n Matthew stopped by Taste of Country Nights<\/a><\/em>, where I asked him about some of the gifts he\u2019s received from the big-name artists he\u2019s toured with. His answer, though, was not what anyone expected.<\/p>\n The \u201cDarlin\u2019\u201d singer admitted, \u201cI got Luke a Louis Vuitton hunting bag\u2026 is what we called it. It was just a Louis bag, and we told him, \u2018Hey, we got you a new hunting bag,\u2019 when we gave it to him.\u201d<\/p>\n Matthew could\u2019ve stopped there \u2014 and that alone would\u2019ve been surprising enough.<\/p>\n The fact that a newcomer made such a big purchase for Bryan \u2014 a multi-millionaire with no shortage of nice things \u2014 says a lot about where Matthew\u2019s career is headed: straight up. But he didn\u2019t stop there.<\/p>\n \u201cWe gave his team members some watch holders and stuff as well,\u201d Matthew added.<\/p>\n This wasn\u2019t a last-minute mall grab in the final tour city. Matthew actually put thought into it \u2014 considering Bryan\u2019s hobbies, what he\u2019d genuinely use and appreciate, and planning the gift ahead of time. It was a gesture that showed both gratitude and a whole lot of respect for the country superstar who brought him on the road.<\/p>\n To show the other side of the spectrum, Matthew also shared what happened when he toured with Jason Aldean<\/a>. Aldean went big \u2014 really<\/em> big.<\/p>\n \u201cHe got me a custom Rolex with the tour engraved on the back of it and stuff like that,\u201d Matthew revealed. \u201cI\u2019ve never had a Rolex.\u201d<\/p>\n It just goes to show \u2014 these aren\u2019t gifts pulled from Amazon\u2019s \u201cunder $100\u201d list.
