Boston metalcore icons Converge<\/a> have announced their first non-collaborative album in nearly nine years. Love Is Not Enough<\/em><\/a> arrives February 13 via Deathwish Inc.<\/a> and Epitaph Records<\/a>. Leading the LP is the title track, which reckons with how to remain empathetic and compassionate in the modern world. Watch its music video below.<\/p>\n Love Is Not Enough<\/em> is Converge\u2019s 11th studio album. While it technically follows the collaborative LP Bloodmoon: I<\/em><\/a>, which they created with Chelsea Wolfe and Stephen Brodsky, it\u2019s Converge\u2019s first album with just the four core members\u2014vocalist Jacob Bannon, guitarist Kurt Ballou, bassist Nate Newton, and drummer Ben Koller\u2014since 2017\u2019s The Dusk in Us<\/em><\/a>. The new record was produced by Ballou and sees Converge continuing to explore the intersection of punk, hardcore, and metal as they enter their 35th year as a band.<\/p>\n \u201cIt does a thing that no other Converge record does\u2014it keeps ramping up,\u201d Bannon said of Love Is Not Enough<\/em>. \u201cAnd that\u2019s definitely by design. Internally, we passed around dozens of ideas for sequencing because everyone interprets music differently and there\u2019s no right way of doing it. When we do that, we always joke that we all have to be equally unhappy.
