Bad news for Audioslave<\/a> fans \u2013 Tom Morello<\/a> says the surviving members are \u201cno closer\u201d to releasing their unheard material.<\/p>\n Made up of Soundgarden<\/a>\u2019s Chris Cornell<\/a>, along with Rage Against the Machine<\/a>\u00a0musicians Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, Audioslave was the biggest supergroup of the early 2000s. Though they only managed three studio albums together before disbanding in 2007, the band left an indelible mark on the world of rock.<\/p>\n In 2019 \u2013 two years after Cornell\u2019s death \u2013 Morello revealed that Audioslave had \u201ca record\u2019s worth\u201d<\/a> of unheard material that would be released \u201cat some point.\u201d However, in the six years since then, \u201csome point\u201d has never come \u2013 and it sounds like we\u2019ll be waiting a long time before it does.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen bands are deciding what songs go on their records and what don’t, it’s not always sensible,\u201d the guitarist explained during a recent conversation with SNSMix<\/a>. \u201cIt’s not like here’s the 10 best jams. Sometimes it’s like, someone likes this one, someone’s not feeling that one. I would love for it to get in the world and hopefully it will one day.\u201d<\/p>\n While Audioslave\u2019s unheard songs remain hidden from the world, things look much more promising with Cornell\u2019s other band.
