\n\tElla Langley<\/a> is all about intuition (and some good dancin\u2019) on \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas.\u201d On Wednesday night, the country star performed her latest single \u2014 a pointed ballad about her man\u2019s new girl from the Lone Star State \u2014 at the 2025 CMA Awards<\/a>, backed by a starry backdrop.<\/p>\n \n\tAfter winning a trio of awards for \u201cYou Look Like You Love Me\u201d earlier in the night, Langley returned to the stage to soundtrack a two-stepping couple, evoking the Texas flag with her set design. She performed in front of a giant red star, strumming her guitar in red pants adorned with silver stars down the sides. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t take a crystal ball to see \/ A cowboy always finds a way to leave,\u201d she sang. \u201cDrinkin\u2019 Jack all by myself \/ He\u2019s choosin\u2019 Texas, I can tell.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLangley dropped \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d \u2014 co-written with Miranda Lambert, who waved a Texas flag from the crowd \u2014 in mid-October as part of the rollout for her upcoming project, the follow-up to her Hungover<\/em> album. She most recently wrapped her Still Hungover Tour last week, and joined Luke Bryan for a holiday duet of \u201cWinter Wonderland.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThere\u2019s going to be some dancing,\u201d she teased about the performance in an interview with Music Mayhem<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re going to feel the longing the song describes, missing that person, whether it\u2019s where they\u2019re living or who they want to be with. It\u2019s just a good ol\u2019 country song with some two-steppin\u2019 in it.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLangley came into the night tied for the most nominations with six total, including Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Langley accepted the award for Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for \u201cYou Look Like You Love Me\u201d with Riley Green. <\/p>\n
