\n\tThe son of Missing Persons\u2019s Dale Bozzio<\/a> \u2014 known for her distinctive sound behind Eighties tracks \u201cWords\u201d and \u201cDestination Unknown\u201d \u2014 is reaching out to her fans to help raise money for the singer\u2019s surgery.<\/p>\n \n\tTroy McKenzie began his GoFundMe message<\/a> by writing that while Bozzio \u201cis a lot of things to the world: singer, songwriter, rock star, fashion icon. To me, she is just my dear mother.\u201d The lead singer has been suffering from \u201csevere capsular contracture,\u201d revealed her son, which requires immediate surgery to remove her silicone breast implants. The most severe condition (Grade 4) can lead to breasts becoming hard and misshapen, while patients can also experience soreness and pain, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tMcKenzie said that Bozzio suffers \u201cin constant pain, and it is very difficult for her to perform, record, or earn a living.\u201d He details that after the implant removal, she will require reconstructive surgery and extensive recovery, with the goal to raise $35,000 for the surgery and post-op recovery \u2014 which McKenzie says is \u201cnot covered by insurance.\u201d<\/p>\n
