\n\tCharli XCX<\/a> stars as herself in the first trailer for the singer\u2019s upcoming film The Moment<\/em><\/a>, a movie that goes behind-the-scenes of Brat Summer while simultaneously serving as metafiction about the music industry.<\/p>\n \n\tThe A24 film was directed by Aidan Zamiri and \u201cbased on an original idea\u201d by XCX. A previous logline teased that The Moment<\/em> was about \u201ca rising pop star navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut,\u201d and with the first trailer, it\u2019s revealed the \u201crising pop star\u201d in question is Charli XCX herself.<\/p>\n \n\tAs the preview shows, The Moment<\/em> combines real-life moments from the Brat tour \u2014 XCX\u2019s stop to The Late Show<\/em>, concert footage, etc. \u2014 with scripted material to form the narrative. \u201cIt\u2019s fiction, but it\u2019s the realest depiction of the music industry that I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d XCX previously said of the film<\/a>, adding that it was \u201cnot a tour documentary or a concert film in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe trailer also hints at some of the film\u2019s all-star cast<\/a> with Rachel Sennott, Alexander Skarsgaard, and Kylie Jenner making quick cameos; the film will also feature Kate Berlant, Rosanna Arquette, Hailey Benton Gates, Jamie Demetriou, and others in XCX\u2019s orbit, like Shygirl and A.G.
