In 2024, Donald Glover was hospitalized<\/a> following a Childish Gambino<\/a> show in New Orleans, Louisiana. Last night (November 22), during his first performance since then, Glover revealed that he had suffered from a stroke. \u201cI had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn\u2019t really see well,\u201d he told the crowd at Tyler, the Creator<\/a>\u2019s annual Camp Flog Gnaw<\/a> festival. At the time, Glover called off his next show in Houston, Texas, and went to a hospital in the city, where he was diagnosed.<\/p>\n Glover continued, \u201cThe first thing I thought was like, \u2018Oh, like, here I am still copying Jamie Foxx.\u2019 That\u2019s really like the second thing. The first thing was like, \u2018I\u2019m letting everybody down.\u2019\u201d He went on to describe a spate of other health problems he\u2019d experienced over the last year, including a broken foot and a hole in his heart, both of which required surgery.<\/p>\n \u201cThey say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one. You should be living your life how you want. If we have to do this again, it can only get better,\u201d Glover reflected. He has described the album as his last<\/a> under the Childish Gambino moniker.<\/p>\n
