Boy Harsher<\/a>, the darkwave electronic duo of vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller, are shooting a feature film, and they\u2019ve tapped a few striking musicians to join the cast. The movie, dubbed The Lonely Woman<\/em>, reportedly stars FKA twigs<\/a>, Sturgill Simpson<\/a>, Will Oldham<\/a> AKA Bonnie \u201cPrince\u201d Billy<\/a>, Jake Weary, and Chlo\u00eb Sevigny, among others.<\/p>\n The Lonely Woman<\/em> is billed as \u201ca bleak, sensual, and atmospheric horror-thriller\u201d featuring a score by Boy Harsher themselves. Hunter Zimny is the movie\u2019s director of photography, while Madeline Sadowski (Good Time<\/em>, Chappell Roan\u2019s \u201cThe Subway\u201d) is the production designer.<\/p>\n Per Deadline<\/em><\/a>, The Lonely Woman<\/em> is set in rural New England and follows a woman who was marked by the death of her first love in a mountain tunnel. As she\u2019s drawn into the mystery of a new disappearance, she begins confronting a seductive and terrifying presence buried beneath the town.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t Boy Harsher\u2019s first foray into the world of cinema. The duo penned the soundtrack to the 2022 short film The Runner<\/em><\/a>, and green-lit their song \u201cPain\u201d to appear in Terrifier 2<\/em> as well. However, The Lonely Woman<\/em> is Boy Harsher\u2019s first time directing a movie. Their most recent full-length album, Careful<\/em><\/a>, came out in 2019.<\/p>\n A few days ago, FKA twigs released EUSEXUA Afterglow<\/em><\/a>, a brand new album paired with a reimagined version of her third studio album, EUSEXUA<\/em><\/a>, from this past January.
