Sublime<\/a> have announced the launch of their touring music festival, Me Gusta, set to debut May 9 in Forth Worth, Texas, at the\u00a0Panther Island Pavilion.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s always been our dream to put on a festival for our friends and family,\u201d Jakob Nowell, Sublime frontman, said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s punk rock, hip-hop, reggae, surf \u2014 all facets of true West Coast alternative culture that has been kept alive for generations by fans and musicians alike. This is our era now and we got nothing but love for everyone coming with us.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAccording to a press release, the national fest embraces the sound, spirit, and cultural impact of\u00a0Sublime, and takes its name from the iconic lyric\u00a0\u201cMe gusta mi reggae, me gusta punk rock\u201d\u00a0from\u00a0the track \u201cCaress Me Down.\u201d The band\u2019s longtime friends, Slightly Stoopid<\/a>, will be joining them as headliners, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for\u00a0the event are on sale now at Sublime\u2019s Me Gusta Festival website\u00a0<\/a>and start at $89.99 for general admission.<\/p>\n \n\tSublime Me Gusta Festival\u00a0is co-produced by\u00a0Sublime\u00a0and\u00a0Brew Ha Ha Productions, and the event also features brew sampling\u00a0as a $15.99 add-on purchase for those age 21 and up.<\/p>\n
