\n\tEthan Zane Browne, the eldest son of singer-songwriter Jackson Browne<\/a>, has died. He was 52.<\/p>\n \n\tEthan\u2019s death was confirmed on Browne\u2019s Instagram in a statement that read: \u201cIt is with deep sorrow that we share that on the morning of November 25, 2025, Ethan Browne, the son of Jackson Browne and Phyllis Major, was found unresponsive in his home and has passed away. We ask for privacy and respect for the family during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tNo cause of death was given, and Browne\u2019s statement declined to share further details.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tEthan was born Nov. 2, 1973, and just six months later appeared in his father\u2019s arms on the cover of Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. In the accompanying story<\/a>, Browne discussed his then-burgeoning career and new fatherhood, saying at one point, \u201cI wanted a baby \u2019cause I wanted to be a baby. I play with [Ethan] all the time; there\u2019s something pure about it. Look at all those expressions he\u2019s got. He\u2019s a real kick in the ass.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn 1976, when Ethan was three years old, his mother, Major \u2014 whom Browne had married the year before \u2014 died by suicide.
