Brooks was one of the executive producers of <em>Call Me Claus<\/em>, a movie that first aired on Turner Network Television on Dec. 2, 2001.<\/p>\n<p>The film&#8217;s plot involved a home shopping executive\u00a0\u2014 played by Goldberg\u00a0\u2014 who becomes Santa&#8217;s choice for his replacement after his 200-year reign is up.<\/p>\n<h3>Did Garth Brooks Ever Write a Song for a Film?<\/h3>\n<p>Brooks served as one of six producers on the project, and he also provided the title song, &#8220;Call Me Claus,&#8221; which he co-wrote with Lisa Sanderson, his producing partner in a company called Red Strokes Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, the spirit of holiday cheer didn&#8217;t last.<\/p>\n<h3>Why Did Garth Brooks&#8217; Partner Sue Him?<\/h3>\n<p>In April of 2013 Sanderson <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/garth-brooks-sued\/\">filed suit<\/a> against Brooks, maintaining that she was not properly compensated during her time as Red Strokes&#8217; CEO.<\/p>\n<p>In February of 2014, a jury in Nashville <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/garth-brooks-wins-lawsuit-former-employee\/\">made a finding<\/a> on Brooks&#8217; behalf in the lawsuit, ruling that Sanderson would have to pay back $226,000 that she had claimed was a gift, but Brooks said was a loan.<\/p>\n<p>They also found that Sanderson had no claim on further compensation from her time at Red Strokes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>READ MORE:<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/country-music-lawsuits\/\">These Country Music Lawsuits Left Fans SHOOK!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That one film turned out to be the sum total of Brooks&#8217; movie career so far.
