The singer returned to music this year with\u00a0two new EPs, Nashville Canyon Pt. 1<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Nashville Canyon Pt. 2<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tJessica Simpson reflected on being a pop star in the early 2000s during a show in Mashantucket, Connecticut over the weekend. Speaking to the crowd, the singer shared words of encouragement for fans and opened up about how Nashville helped her return to music. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cMy whole music career, I had a job, and that was to be a pop star, and I tried,\u201d the singer told the audience gathered at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in a video<\/a> shared by TV producer John Pascarella. \u201cYou see. when you\u2019re younger, you never feel good enough, and it\u2019s okay to not feel good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tEarlier this year, Jessica Simpson<\/a> returned to the stage after a 15-year hiatus<\/a> \u2014 performing at SXSW\u00a0in March<\/a> and releasing a pair EPs,\u00a0Nashville Canyon Part I<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0II<\/em>. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI do love Nashville,\u201d Simpson continued. \u201cIt brought me home, to myself. It brought me inside of my heart in a really hard time of my life. I just kind of had to surrender myself to my intuition, to the light that was in front of me. I just focused on that.\u201d<\/p>\n
