Now, new streaming<\/a> data obtained by Rolling Stone<\/em> shows significant boosts to her streams whenever Patel is making headlines.<\/p>\n \n\tStreams for the little-known 27-year-old Nashville artist have increased 48 percent in the past year, coinciding with Patel going from a podcaster to the head of one of the country\u2019s top law-enforcement agencies. And whenever Patel finds himself at the center of a news cycle, there\u2019s a corresponding surge of people tuning in to Wilkins\u2019 music, according to music data provider Luminate and viewed by Rolling Stone<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tPatel has praised his girlfriend as a \u201ccountry-music sensation\u201d and justified the highly unusual move<\/a> to provide security to a non-spouse of a government official by claiming Wilkins has faced hundreds of death threats related to her newfound publicity.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThe couple met three years ago in Nashville, with Wilkins telling Megyn Kelly\u00a0that she was drawn to the then-director of Trump Media & Technology Group\u2019s integrity and honesty. \u201cWe both are very patriotic, so obviously there are things there that we definitely agree on,\u201d she said. She said a wake-up call came while she was in college, when she received an \u201cF\u201d in a class because she believed the professor was punishing her for\u00a0 her conservative beliefs.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tA few years later, she began giving away Constitutions for the Fourth of July, became a contributor to the conservative nonprofit group PragerU, spoke about the RNC for Newsmax,<\/a> opened a show for Trumpworld favorite Lee Greenwood, and started singing at Turning Point USA-affiliated events. In late 2023, she stopped posting music to her Rumble account \u2014 except for her single \u201cI Want My Country Back\u201d \u2014 and pivoted to political commentary. She\u2019s also a spokeswoman for the American Border Story, which describes itself as \u201cuncovering the truth behind the immigration crisis.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
