The one-night-only performance of Gaga’s Joker<\/em>-inspired album was filmed last September and will hit YouTube later this week<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tLast September, Lady Gaga<\/a> treated some very lucky fans to a super-secret, one-night-only performance of her 2024 album Harlequin<\/a><\/em> in its entirety. Now she\u2019s announced the concert film is coming to the masses. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cHappy holidays to you and yours,\u201d Gaga wrote in an Instagram caption, accompanying a poster for the performance.\u00a0\u201cLady Gaga<\/a> in Harlequin Live: One Night Only<\/em> Coming Xmas Eve @ 4pm PT on my YouTube channel.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe wide release for the concert film \u2014 which was recorded at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles \u2014 comes after Gaga debuted it during an event at the Grammy Museum<\/a> in Los Angeles on Dec. 18. Harlequin<\/em> is currently in the running for the Best Traditional Pop Album at the Grammys<\/a>. <\/p>\n \n\tHarlequin<\/em> mostly consists of Gaga\u2019s unique covers of jazz classics, along with two original tracks. On the long intermission between last year\u2019s Harlequin<\/em> performance and this month\u2019s film release, Variety <\/a><\/em>reports that Gaga said, \u201cIt was interesting \u2014 when we first saw the footage, we said, \u2018This is not the right time to put this out.\u2019 And we collectively agreed that we would allow the lore of the Belasco performance to bloom with the fans, until it felt like time\u2026 And so this is like a Christmas present.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tGaga also detailed why the time feels right now. \u201cI\u2019m feeling like: Why not?\u201d she said.\u00a0\u201cWe have this thing that\u2019s so special to us, so we\u2019re just really happy to share it with the fans. It\u2019s kind of a rebellious project. And, by Harlequin<\/em> standards, Christmas is the perfect time to release something rebellious.\u201d<\/p>\n
