On Friday, FOX announced that Los Tigres Del Norte<\/a> will be joining The<\/em> Simpsons<\/a><\/em> on Sunday\u2019s episode, \u201cThe Fall Guy-Yi-Yi,\u201d to perform \u201cEl Corrido de Pedro y Homero.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe always felt like this Bumblebee Man episode was going to be a tip of the hat to our Latin American fans, but especially to our huge Mexican\/Mexican American fan base,\u201d Cesar Mazariegos, who wrote and produced the episode, tells Rolling Stone<\/em> in an email. \u201cSo what better way to close out the show than with a \u2018corrido\u2019 that recaps the tale of beloved physical comedian Pedro, and his secret stuntman-turned-friend \u2018Homero\u2019 Simpson?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMazariegos says Los Tigres were an \u201cimmediate pick\u201d to close out the episode, since the group\u2019s music \u2014 especially corridos like \u201cLa Camioneta Gris\u201d and \u201cSomos M\u00e1s Americanos\u201d \u2014 were the soundtrack to his childhood, riding in \u201cmy uncle\u2019s truck in Colombia.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThey are absolute, worldwide legends. I mean, they were on tour when we reached out to ask them for a song.
