\n\tMiley Cyrus<\/a> has been on a roll writing and recording original songs for movies in recent years. Apparently, the success has come from Cyrus pitching herself to filmmakers. <\/p>\n \n\tIn a new interview with People<\/em><\/a>, Cyrus shared that she was selected to create \u201cBeautiful That Way\u201d for Gia Coppola\u2019s The Last Showgirl<\/em> and \u201cDream as One\u201d<\/a> James Cameron<\/a>\u2018s Avatar<\/a>: Fire and Ash<\/em> because she was bold enough to ask. Cyrus said she approached Cameron at the 2024 D23 Expo, where they were both honored as Disney Legends.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI kind of throw it out there as I always do,\u201d Cyrus said of asking Cameron to collaborate. \u201cI already knew the answer to, \u2018So what have you been up to?\u2019 I know he\u2019s been up to Avatar<\/em> for a very long time.\u201d She recalled saying, \u201cJust lemme know if you ever need any music,\u201d adding, \u201cIt just kind of organically happened. James actually calls us \u2018Legends in law.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe origin of \u201cBeautiful That Way\u201d was similar. \u201cI did the same thing to Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a>,\u201d Cyrus said. \u201cThat\u2019s how I ended up doing Last Showgirl<\/em> and now being a part of Avatar<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe added, \u201cLiterally, that\u2019s why I went to the Oscars<\/a> this year. Everybody that came up and introduced themselves, I said, \u2018Well, if you need any music, I\u2019m around.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tCyrus said she has pitched the creators of Baby Reindeer<\/em>, even though a second season has not been confirmed. \u201cI don\u2019t know what I would write for\u00a0Baby Reindeer\u00a0<\/em>season two, but I threw that out there,\u201d she noted. <\/p>\n
