\n\tZohran Mamdani<\/a> is officially<\/em> a Bunhead \u2014 and Kim Petras<\/a> has an enticing, animal rights-centric offer for her new fan. On Monday, the New York City<\/a> mayor-elect shared his love for Petras in Interview<\/em><\/a>, prompting the pop star to come in with a proposal: a copy of her yet-to-be-released album in exchange for banning horse-drawn carriages in Central Park.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cZohran Mamdani I am willing to privately send you my new album if we can get the horse carriages banned from Central Park,\u201d Petras wrote on X. Her post was accompanied by a screengrab of Mamdani\u2019s conversation with Interview<\/a><\/em>\u2018s Mel Ottenberg, where the incoming mayor listed Petras\u2019 recent single \u201cI Like Ur Look\u201d as a \u201cgreat song.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPetras replied to her own post with a YouTube video screenshot titled \u201cMamdani makes transition announcement,\u201d adding, \u201cThe signs were always there\u2026\u201d \u2014 a joke nodding to her identity as a trans woman.<\/p>\n \n\tMamdani previously acknowledged the \u201csignificant issue<\/a>\u201d of horse-drawn carriages in Central Park, and a potential ban was one of the few issues all of NYC\u2019s 2025 mayoral candidates agreed on during the otherwise contentious campaign. Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo<\/a>, Mamdani\u2019s chief rival, summed it up in September, saying, \u201cThis is the one issue where we are all in agreement: Let\u2019s free the horses.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDuring an early October campaign event, Mamdani said he wanted to \u201cvisit the stables myself\u201d and create a panel to \u201cassess the health of these horses<\/a>\u201d before deciding what would be the next step.
