After completing South Korea\u2019s mandatory military service<\/a>, K-pop juggernauts BTS<\/a> are now gearing up to release their first new album in six years. The as-yet-untitled LP is due out March 20 via Big Hit Entertainment. It\u2019s their fifth studio album overall and follows 2020\u2019s Be<\/em><\/a>. What\u2019s more, BTS are also teasing a 2026 world tour, with more details to arrive soon.<\/p>\n BTS hit the recording studio last July to work on the new LP. \u201cWe\u2019re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,\u201d the group said in a statement last year. \u201cWe\u2019re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We\u2019ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you\u2019re as excited as we are.\u201d<\/p>\n After Big Hit confirmed<\/a> at the end of 2021 that BTS were taking an \u201cofficial extended period of rest,\u201d the K-pop group released their first anthology album, Proof<\/em><\/a>, that following June. Each member eventually pursued his own solo project in the years that followed, including J-Hope\u2019s 2022 album Jack in the Box<\/em>, RM\u2019s 2022 full-length Indigo<\/em>, and Jimin\u2019s 2023 LP Face<\/em>.<\/p>\n As is par for the course for K-pop superstars such as BTS, various members have been busy onscreen during this time.
