\n\tDepeche Mode<\/a> fans will soon be able to relive the band\u2019s Memento Mori<\/em> world tour on Netflix<\/a>. On Monday, the streaming platform announced it will stream Depeche Mode: M<\/em>, the band\u2019s concert film and documentary, starting Friday, Jan. 9.<\/p>\n \n\tThe movie is half concert film, half documentary, directed by Fernando Friar, and follows the group during the band\u2019s three shows at Mexico City\u2019s Foro Sol in September 2023. The film explores not only the band\u2019s music, but also Mexico\u2019s cultural approach to understanding death \u2014 and how it mirrors themes that run through the group\u2019s discography, especially in the wake of keyboardist Andy \u201cFletch\u201d Fletcher<\/a>\u2019s death. The Memento Mori<\/em> <\/a>run marked the band\u2019s first performances without Fletcher, who died in 2022 from an aortic dissection<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tDepeche Mode: M<\/em> serves as \u201ca window into the band\u2019s timeless global influence, and a powerful tribute to the unbreakable connection between music, tradition and the human spirit,\u201d according to a band statement back in April. It also features narration from actor Daniel Gim\u00e9nez Cacho, as well as interviews with fans, artists, and other cultural commentators.<\/p>\n
