\n\tIt\u2019s time to strap in: Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> is celebrating the fifth anniversary of her historic smash hit \u201cDrivers License.\u201d Back in 2021, the child actress stepped into the pop world with her melancholic debut single and drove straight into the stratosphere. At 17, she became the youngest person to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100. Now, Rodrigo is commemorating that milestone with special versions of the song.<\/p>\n \n\tTo start, Rodrigo dropped a cover of \u201cDrivers License\u201d from none other than David Byrne<\/a>. Last year, the Talking Heads frontman joined Rodrigo<\/a> for her headlining set at the Governors Ball<\/a>, where the two sang an electric cover of \u201cBurning Down the House.\u201d Byrne is returning the favor with his own cover from Rodrigo\u2019s catalog, which is available to stream across all platforms. According to a press release, Byrne\u2019s cover marks the first in a series of covers tied to the fifth anniversary of Rodrigo\u2019s debut album Sour<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tIn addition to the digital cover of \u201cDrivers License,\u201d Rodrigo announced special vinyl exclusives tied to the anniversary. The first includes Byrne\u2019s cover, and highlights from Rodrigo\u2019s Gov Ball set. Notably, the 7\u2033 vinyl will be pressed on translucent ruby vinyl, a departure from the singer\u2019s signature purple. Fans can now pre-order the vinyl on Rodrigo\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tTarget will also be releasing their own exclusive vinyl. Pressed on fruit punch color vinyl, that version will include the original recording of \u201cDrivers License\u201d and Rodrigo\u2019s live rendition of the song from her Gov Ball set.<\/p>\n \n\tAs Rodrigo celebrates both the fifth anniversary of her breakout hit and debut LP Sour<\/em>, she\u2019s also planning for a loaded year. The singer has seemingly teased<\/a>\u00a0her third album with a glittery red \u201c3\u201d shirt, and has confirmed she\u2019s been\u00a0busy in the studio<\/a>. \u201cI won\u2019t say too much, but I think 2026 is going to be a busy year for me,\u201d\u00a0she told Nylon<\/a>. <\/p>\n
