\n\tWhen announcing his sixth studio album, With Heaven on Top<\/em>, on Instagram earlier this week, Zach Bryan<\/a> added the disclaimer, \u201cHope you don\u2019t hate it.\u201d Now that the followup to 2024\u2019s The Great American Bar Scene<\/em> has arrived, you can decide for yourself.<\/p>\n \n\tWith Heaven on Top <\/em>spans 25 tracks. Bryan tends to prefer an overloaded album, as evidenced by the 19-song track list on The Great American Bar Scene<\/em> and the 16-song track list on Zach Bryan<\/a><\/em> (2023) \u2014 and especially by the 34 entries on 2022\u2019s American Heartbreak<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tAfter the rapid release of three studio albums in the span of three years, not counting a flurry of EPs and live recordings, Bryan mostly took last year off to recalibrate. He still racked up a few headlines regarding his high-profile break-up with\u00a0BFFs\u00a0<\/em>podcaster Brianna \u201cChickenfry\u201d LaPaglia<\/a>, an\u00a0altercation<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Gavin Adcock<\/a>\u00a0at the Born & Raised Festival, and the release of a song that some interpreted as criticizing ICE<\/a>. In November, the musician shared that he began experiencing \u201cearth-shattering panic attacks\u201d<\/a> amid controversy online.<\/p>\n \n
