Morrissey<\/a>\u2019s meandering comeback has finally arrived at the release of new music. A single, with the very Morrissey title of \u201cMake-Up Is a Lie,\u201d\u00a0arrived this morning, and you can hear it below. The song, co-written with keyboardist Camila Grey, leads an album of the same name that marks Morrissey\u2019s return to the Warner label Sire<\/a> and his reunion with producer Joe Chiccarelli. That\u2019s out March 6. Check out the tracklist, which includes a cover of Roxy Music<\/a>\u2019s \u201cAmazona,\u201d below, along with the album art.<\/p>\n The status of new Morrissey music has been up in the air for years. He has recently been teasing a pair of albums, neither of which is called Make-Up Is a Lie<\/em>. One, Bonfire of Teenagers,<\/em> features Chad Smith, Flea, and Iggy Pop, and, according to Morrissey<\/a>, every major label that hears it considers it a masterpiece but is too scared to release it, because of Morrissey\u2019s politics. The other record is titled You\u2019re Right, It\u2019s Time<\/em>. Morrissey launched his last album, I Am Not a Dog on a Chain<\/em><\/a>, in 2020, with a campaign that closely followed his endorsement<\/a> of far-right political party For Britain Movement on Fallon<\/em>.
