The Messthetics<\/a> and James Brandon Lewis<\/a> have returned to the studio for a follow-up to their 2024 self-titled album<\/a>. The Washington, D.C. outfit has titled its next LP Deface the Currency<\/em>. Listen to the single \u201cGestations\u201d below, and scroll down for their new tour dates. The album arrives February 20, via Impulse!<\/a><\/p>\n The Messthetics\u2014the band formed around Fugazi<\/a>\u2019s rhythm section of Joe Lally and Brendan Canty\u2014released their debut album<\/a> in 2018 and a follow-up a year later, before uniting with jazz saxophonist Lewis.
