Here are the 26 women most deserving of an induction, including <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/tags\/shania-twain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shania Twain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/tags\/trisha-yearwood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trisha Yearwood<\/a> and (now eligible) <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/tags\/carrie-underwood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carrie Underwood.<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>June Carter Cash, <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/tags\/patty-loveless\/\" target=\"_blank\">Patty Loveless<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/tags\/tanya-tucker\/\">Tanya Tucker<\/a> are the three solo women most recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.<\/li>\n<li>Inductees are typically announced in February or March. The Modern Era Artist becomes eligible 20 years after achieving national prominence. The Veterans Era Artist is eligible 45 years after\u00a0achieving national prominence.<\/p>\n<p>The third category rotates between Recording\/Touring Musician, Songwriter and Non-Performer. No specific credentials are listed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countrymusichalloffame.org\/hall-of-fame\/election-process\" target=\"_blank\">Hall&#8217;s website,<\/a> but they note that 2026 will bring a songwriter.<\/p>\n<h3>Country Women Not in the Country Music Hall of Fame<\/h3>\n<p>There are 20 solo country women in the Hall of Fame, most in performer categories. The first was Patsy Cline in 1973, and the most recent was Cash in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The last woman to be inducted in the Modern Era category was Loveless, in 2023.
