Together, they engineered a lifestyle centered around a true freedom of spirit. Along the way, Weir made friends and attracted admirers both within the music world and outside of it. Since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/bob-weir-grateful-dead-dead-obituary-1234810106\/\">news of Weir\u2019s death<\/a> broke on Saturday, tributes have been pouring in from around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tTV personality Andy Cohen fell in love with the Dead in the Eighties and attended his first concert by the band in Wisconsin. \u201cBob Weir wasn\u2019t The Other One, he was That Guy,\u201d Cohen wrote on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DTWZ4WXkVb9\/?img_index=1\">Instagram<\/a>. \u201cHe was impossibly beautiful and wildly fiery, intense and passionate.\u201d In his tribute, Cohen thanked Weir for appearing on his talk show, <em>Watch What Happens Live<\/em>. \u201cHe came on <em>WWHL<\/em> a few times and when he talked about Jerry\u2019s passing he referred to it as \u2018checkin\u2019 out,&#8217;\u201d he wrote. \u201cThat felt so graceful a way to put it, and a testament to the fluidity of all us in this world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tDon Felder, the former Eagles lead guitarist, posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DTWc1bNDp6N\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">photo of himself with Weir<\/a>. \u201cI first saw Bob at Woodstock with the Grateful Dead and was blown away by that whole band, and the musicianship,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI feel so blessed to have been able to have him sing on \u2018Rock You\u2019 from [Felder\u2019s solo album] <em>American Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll<\/em>. He was 78. \u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the passing of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/bobby-weir\/\" id=\"auto-tag_bobby-weir\" data-tag=\"bobby-weir\">Bobby Weir<\/a>,\u201d the statement began; a date of death was not immediately available. \u201cHe transitioned peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after courageously beating cancer as only Bobby could.
