The singer and songwriter brought along a seven-piece band to perform selections from both albums he released last year, the R&amp;B record\u00a0<em>Love on Digital,\u00a0<\/em>and its alt-jazz companion\u00a0<em>Whimsy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tConrad opened with \u201cWhip,\u201d the first song on <em>Whimsy<\/em>. The record features Keyon Harrold, who plays trumpet throughout the live set. Sticking to the jazz beat, the musician continued with \u201cWash U Away,\u201d \u201cA Lonely Detective,\u201d assisted by special guest Vanisha Gould, and \u201cLove.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Destin Conrad: Tiny Desk Concert\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xvqEmRekRdU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tBefore moving into <em>Love on Digital<\/em>, Conrad cuts back to the beginning: his debut EP, <em>Colorway<\/em>. In 2021, he broke through with \u201cIn the Air,\u201d which opens the nine-track project. \u201cI want to see if we can get into my debut album, <em>Love on Digital,<\/em> real quick,\u201d Conrad said as he transitioned into the final portion of the set. \u201cGrammy nominated, by the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe record is nominated for Best Progressive R&amp;B Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards. He chain-smokes cigarettes. He only listens to jazz music. I would say make some noise for him, but he don\u2019t deserve that.
