A$AP Rocky<\/a> starts a riot in the music video for his latest single, \u201cHelicopter.\u201d<\/p>\n Directed by Dan Streit, the dystopian clip sees Pretty Flacko taking to the skies in a stolen chopper (the same one from some of his recent festival performances) and lording over New York City as it descends into chaos.<\/p>\n The Harlem native made pains to point out on Instagram<\/a> that the visual \u201cis not AI generated.\u201d Instead, it employs motion-captured animations of the rapper and his crew, along with a nostalgic filter that gives it the feel of late \u201990s PlayStation games. (The single\u2019s cover art<\/a> also nods to classic games from this era.)<\/p>\n As for the track itself, \u201cHelicopter\u201d features ominous, hard-hitting producing from Kelvin Krash and Soufien 3000 and agile, staccato flows from A$AP Rocky, who namedrops Cam\u2019ron<\/a> and Jim Jones<\/a> while pledging allegiance to his fashion partners Puma.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m checkin\u2019 my sneakers, no checks on my sneakers \/ Just Puma, Gap and yeah, the goody GRIM,\u201d<\/em> he raps, before adding: \u201cI rid\u0435 around in an all-pink Mercedes, th\u0435 pussy whip \/ Like Killa Cam, my braids lookin\u2019 like I could be Jim.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Watch the video below.<\/p>\n
