Anjimile<\/a> has announced a new album. You\u2019re Free to Go<\/em><\/a>, the North Carolina singer-songwriter\u2019s follow-up to The King<\/em><\/a>, was produced by Brad Cook. It\u2019s out March 13 via 4AD<\/a>. Caity Arthur<\/a> directed the roller disco-themed music video for lead single \u201cLike You Really Mean It<\/a>.\u201d Watch it below.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wrote this to make my girlfriend want to give me a kiss,\u201d Anjimile said in a press statement. \u201cWe live about an hour apart, and I was just by myself thinking about her. Thinking about wanting a kiss. What could I do to get a kiss from my sweetheart? Write a song about it! Anyway, it worked.\u201d<\/p>\n

The King<\/em> came out in 2023. Last year, Anjimile shared the one-off single \u201cAuld Lang Syne II<\/a>,\u201d also produced by Cook.<\/p>\n
